Apple Car Play / Android Auto

Here is the note we sent to GoodBarber about this...
Our app is for an FM broadcast radio station. GoodBarber actively promotes itself as an app builder for radio stations. However, it does not appear to natively support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for use in the connected car. We have been asking GoodBarber for this functionality for years now. We feel this is an incredible "miss" by your platform, and this missing feature is forcing us to look into other app companies and builders that
do
offer this feature. Most app developers that target radio stations now offer this functionality, either by default or as an add-on.Can you provide any update on whether CarPlay and Android Auto support are in development at GoodBarber, and if so, an approximate timeline for availability?
(Their answer was to upvote this suggestion here, which I did just now.)

This is truly shocking! If I had known that Android Auto for the car and Apple Car Play were not available - I would have never signed up with Good Barber. In this day and age, not to have that functionality doesn't make any sense. When I signed up, I just assumed this would be part of the service. Why would it not be? 100% of our listeners need the apps to work in the car. If this functionality is not available within the next 2 weeks, I am afraid we will need to cancel Goodbarber and go with another provider. You have a great product, but the most important aspect is not being addressed. Unbelievable.

Hello, we would like to know if the apps we have with you, both on Android and iOS, can be adapted to appear in cars when connected to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Hello, we're a major radio station in Barcelona, and many customers are urgently requesting that our apps be available on CarPlay/Android Auto. Otherwise, we'll lose many listeners. This is urgent for us. If there isn't a reasonable timeframe, we'll have to look for other alternatives to continue competing in our sector. I hope for a quick solution, please. Thank you.

Let's see if we can continue to vote this up. Here is what I sent Goodbarber this week on this:
Hi GoodBarber Team,
Hope you’re all doing well!
First off, thank you. We’ve been building radio apps on GoodBarber for over a decade, and your platform has truly been a game-changer. We appreciate everything your team has done to support us along the way.
That said, we’re at a real crossroads.
After last week’s NAB Show in Vegas—the biggest industry event for radio and TV—the message was loud and clear: CarPlay and Android Auto are no longer optional. Speaker after speaker stressed that if your app icon doesn’t show up on a car’s dashboard, you’re essentially invisible. With 97% of radio listening still happening in the car, this isn’t just a nice-to-have—it’s a survival feature.
Since then, we’ve heard from every one of our clients. They’ve been asking for this functionality for years, but now they’re saying it’s a deal-breaker.
We know this might not be a simple build—especially with how flexible and dynamic your platform is (which I love!)—but the industry moves fast, and once the big players start pushing something as essential, everyone follows.
So we’re asking:
Can we get CarPlay and Android Auto support? And if so, is there a timeline we can share with clients?
We love working with you and hope there’s a way to move forward together.
Thanks!

Hey Radio Marca,
A lot of us are really feeling the pressure on this one. I sent the email below to GoodBarber just this week after the NAB show in Vegas. There’s also another thread going on this—please take a sec to vote it up here:
Here’s what I shared with them:

I was considering moving my radio apps over to you until I confirmed that you do not support Carplay or Android Auto. I echo some of these other comments. If you wish to remain competitive in the mobile radio space, Carplay and Android Auto functionality is a must.

We chose GoodBarber because there was an option specifically for radio stations. In the 21st century, 90% of people listen to radio in the car. Support for CarPlay and Android Auto is necessary. This is very important.

One of my applications is for a Community Radio Station, have Apple Car Play / Android Auto would be a game changer for them

I don't want to use this app if it doesn't have this option.
